Abstract

Objective: To identify the frequency of Internet use by colorectal cancer patients.

Materials and methods: Fifty patients interviews.

Results: Only four patients (8%) had used the internet to access information about colorectal cancer though 36% would have used it if a site had been recommended.

Conclusion: The Internet is a resource rarely used by patients but there is potential for its use as an adjunct to written and verbal information.
