Leadership is a complex multi-dimensional construct that plays a vital role in clinical and operational outcomes. It is especially important to health care delivery given the rapid changes in reimbursement, technological growth, employee, and consumer expectations. As life expectancy increases globally, the number of individuals living with multiple long-term conditions adds greater complexity to the care and services health systems provide. To effectively manage the health of a population, leadership skills and attributes are important for those directly providing those services.
