Staphlococcus aureas was observed more frequently in the pre-trach change culture (n=10 isolates) compared to the post-trach change culture (n=5 isolates) and Stenotrophomonas maltophilia was seen in pre-trach change specimens (n=5 isolates) but not seen in the post-cultures.
