Discussion
Different diagnoses of lung infiltrates in cancer patients following chemotherapy include infections, heart failure, neoplasia, lung bleeding, and drug toxicity. Although infections are one of the most common and important causes, an extensive workup of the BAL fluid and biopsy specimens ruled out this diagnosis. In addition, histologic examination findings were negative for neoplasia and lung bleeding. Thus, drug-induced lung toxicity developed in the patient. The most probable cause was
